Welcome to the home page of Commando Cannstatt, ultras from Stuttgart. Commando Cannstatt was founded in 1997 and is the biggest and most energetic fan group following the football club VfB Stuttgart. We´re an independent group that supports the club loudly everywhere and anywhere and we view ourselves as ultras and the driving force of the VfB Stuttgart fan scene. At home games we stand in section 32 of Cannstatter Kurve, right beneath sections A and B. Commando Cannstatt has developed this section into a supporters and ultra section over the past few years. In the following pictures you can see how the section looked a few years ago (top) and the way it looks now (bottom).

Our official logo is called “Buddy”. In this image you can see “Buddy” with a red star in the background. The red star is another image we sometimes use, but it isn´t a part of the official logo anymore. Nevertheless it´s something we like to see and it is still commonly used on t-shirts or on 2-stick banners. However, it has no political meaning for us.

Apart from the acoustic support, the visual support is also very important for us. We regularly organise tifos, shows and other events and finance these from membership fees and other things. You can see some pictures of our shows here, others are available on this page under the heading “Galerie”

We are totally independent and therefore do not accept money from the club or companies to finance our shows. Every show is supposed to be a gift from us to the team and is supposed to express our love for the club, just like our songs. With a membership in “Fördergruppe CC” (FGCC) you can support us in creating shows, tifo's etc.

Apart from this, we also publish an information flyer for every home game, the so called “Cannstatter Blättle”. It has a circulation of 3,000 and is handed out free of charge in the supporters sections of the Cannstatter Kurve. Back and current issues are also available online on this site under the category “Medien” > “Cannstatter Blättle”.

We´re very involved in the fan scene, organise away trips and support the club at every home and away game, no matter the standings, no matter how far away the game is and no matter what division the club is in. However, Commando Cannstatt also is a critical body. If we don´t agree with certain things like poor performances on the pitch or bad treatment of the supporters, we don´t keep silent - we voice our opinion with protests. Commando Cannstatt is also fighting against repression such as random banning orders, excessive police measures against us and other blatant injustices and is fighting for the fans' rights. We fight against commercialisation - that is continuing to threaten the fan culture. We also fight to preserve fan culture and tradition at the club. We actively engage in close contact with the club and are in regular contact with club employees, to look for solutions that are acceptable for both sides in cases that concern us.

Commando Cannstatt is non-political. There´s a variety of political views within the group, which are tolerated without giving the group a political direction. We do have a friendly relationship with the ultras of Energie Cottbus and the ultras of SSV Reutlingen. Our main enemies are the ultras and fans of Karlsruher SC. Stuttgart and Karlsruhe are 2 cities in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. Karlsruhe is in Baden and Stuttgart is in Württemberg (also known as Swabia). People from Baden and Swabia don´t like each other for historical reasons. Other enemies of us are the ultras and fans of our city rival Stuttgarter Kickers, although they only have a very small fan scene. The ultras and fans of Hertha BSC Berlin, who have a friendly relationship with the fans of Karlsruher SC, aren't liked as well. Other clubs and fans that are not popular here are SC Freiburg, another club from Baden, FC Bayern Munich and SSV Ulm, the main enemy of our friends from Reutlingen.
